I was born in Milan in 1973.
After completing a degree in sculpture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, I decided to follow
my great passion for drawing and painting.
My main source of inspiration was metaphysical and surrealist art, as well as the observation of nature
and the animal world.
I create oil paintings depicting animals halfway between painting and illustration,
and my activities as an illustrator were sparked by an interest in "recounting" the animal world.
I decided to attend evening classes at the School of Applied Arts of Castello Sforzesco in Milan, where I learned to illustrate books for children
and to draw advertising story boards.
I am still in touch with the teachers, who involve me in the school's various initiatives, exhibitions and publications.
I have illustrated various children's books, but also books of poetry such as "Luci e ombre" (lights and shadows) by Fiorenza Zoccatelli,
"The Legend of St. Julian the Hospitaller" by Flaubert and "Gatto Nando per il mondo" (Nando the Cat Around the World) by Marina Mander.
I collaborate with independent publishers such as Arcipelago edizioni and Albe edizioni, which also carry out non-commercial projects.
Since 2015, I have also provided illustrations for newspapers (Corriere della Sera), magazines and advertising.
I discovered digital drawing and painting a few years ago, and now I swear by it.
